Japan’s Mt. Fuji is an active volcano about 100 kilometers southwest of Tokyo. Commonly called “Fuji-san,” it’s the country’s tallest peak, at 3,776 meters. A pilgrimage site for centuries, it’s considered one of Japan’s 3 sacred mountains, and summit hikes remain a popular activity. Its iconic profile is the subject of numerous works of art, notably Edo Period prints by Hokusai and Hiroshige.

I have been living in Japan for almost 4 years and always had a dream to visit Fuji-san. To be honest, I did not have chance to go to Shizuoka to see Mt.Fuji. Doing internship in Hamazo company, I have visited a lot of famous places not only in Hamamatsu but also Shizuoka. I have been enjoying here a lot and discover unknown places of Japan. It was one of the biggest dreams of mine going to Mt Fuji.

The air was so fresh and a bit cold, and I have met a lot people who were climbing to the mountain. I have talked to some of them and set a goal to go there one more time for climbing.

I wandered a lot when I saw the tourist information center where American guy was working. I talked a lot to him and noticed that he's Japanese was so good. As a student who studies Hospitality and Tourism thought that, even non japanese speakers could get all information that they need.

I met one Japanese family who were so kind to us. When I said that it was my first time being there, they invited us to their house which was near Mt Fuji. Unfortunately we could not visit them, as we had to go back earlier but I was very grateful to them for their invitation.
To sum up, I really liked our trip to Mt.Fuji where I met a lot of people and discovered something new for me. Moreover, I think this trip would also help me to my studies at the University.
